Swedish Citizenship Test in Botkyrka – How to Prepare in 2026

The Test for Residents of Botkyrka
The citizenship test is a national exam – the content, number of questions, and assessment are the same whether you live in Botkyrka or any other Swedish municipality. Botkyrka is located in Stockholm County and has approximately 96,000 inhabitants.
The test is developed by UHR (Universitets- och högskolerådet, the Swedish Council for Higher Education). Migrationsverket (the Swedish Migration Agency) will assign you to a test session via an assignment letter once you have submitted your citizenship application.
According to UHR, the citizenship test is a multiple-choice exam with approximately 60 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Each question has four answer options with one correct answer. The test is taken in Swedish and on paper. The first test session is planned for 15 August 2026 in Stockholm.
