Swedish Citizenship Test in Helsingborg β How to Prepare in 2026

The Test for Residents of Helsingborg
The citizenship test is a national examination β the content, number of questions, and assessment criteria are the same whether you live in Helsingborg or any other Swedish municipality. Helsingborg is located in SkΓ₯ne County and has approximately 150,000 inhabitants.
The test is developed by UHR (Universitets- och hΓΆgskolerΓ₯det, the Swedish Council for Higher Education). Migrationsverket (the Swedish Migration Agency) will notify you of a test opportunity via a referral letter once you have submitted your citizenship application.
According to UHR, the citizenship test is a multiple-choice exam with approximately 60 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Each question has four answer options with one correct answer. The test is taken in Swedish and on paper. The first test opportunity is scheduled for August 15, 2026, in Stockholm.
