Civic Studies

Civic studies is the subject that deals with how society works – politics, economics, law and justice, media, and welfare. It is civic studies that forms the basis of the Swedish citizenship test.

In the test, civic studies is quite broad. It covers both how Sweden is governed and what rights and obligations you have as a resident.

You don't need to become an expert in any single area. Breadth is more important than depth for this particular test.
